I'm Tiffany

My name is Tiffany Logan and I am blessed to be the owner/designer of Designs by Gracie Godfrey. I am so excited to have you here and am looking forward to sharing my creations with you. A long time ago I learned that things happen for a reason, and if you have the patience, the fruition of a larger plan comes to light. You will understand a little more about my meaning when you learn more about me, so please, keep reading.
My Roots
I come from a truly wonderful family. My Mom is the matriarch of our family. Dad, quite simply, was my — and several other people’s — hero (he has since passed). And I have the best brother and friend a girl could ever ask for. I am Mom to the most amazing daughter ever! She is the greatest gift that was ever given to me.
Now, here is a little history about me. My youth was spent growing up in NC for grade school and then we moved to Atlanta, GA for high school. I was there until my senior year, when we then moved to Cincinnati, OH, due to my Dad being transferred for business. That is where I have spent 33 years of my life. I graduated college and went to work for our family business. It was truly a blessing to work in a small family business and learn from my Dad about employees, numbers and having a dream. He became ill and after much deliberation, we decided as a family to sell the business.
Changes
Years after selling our family business, I ventured out into the entrepreneur world and opened my dream store, a gift shop in Cincinnati named The Shop Around the Corner. I absolutely adored the journey and adventure of owning my own creative outlet. And I truly did it all, the purchasing, keeping books, creating displays. Every day I did my best to make it a magical place for anyone that came through the doors. After five blissful years in business, going through a divorce, and a rough economy, it became clear it was time to close.
Never Give Up
After my divorce, I felt somewhat defeated in many aspects and had just about given up on finding “THE ONE”. Clearly, I was not meant to find true love. What’s that saying? … It happens when you least expect it? I had pretty much decided to give up on true love. I had my daughter and my dog and that would be just fine.
So, much to my surprise, I finally, after years of mistakes and bad decisions, met my soul mate! Can you believe it? At 41, it finally happened, so girls, never, ever give up! I knew from the minute I laid eyes on him that this is what I had been waiting my whole life for — this is what soul mate love feels like. It’s that feeling in your gut that makes your heart skip a beat, shaking in your shoes, so scared to move and so excited to learn more, kind of love! I’ll be honest with you – it really scared me and took me a while to try again without any boundaries, but my gut just knew it was right.
So after closing my shop, I followed this wonderful man around while he was transferred for his work. Back and forth, between two homes and years together and learning to trust again, I said yes and the rest is history. We were married in 2012 and every day has been what I have always dreamed what marriage to your soul mate would be like.
Logan
My husband, I call him Logan, because he has the same name as my brother and that just got too confusing, is now retired. That’s what led us to following one of our ultimate dreams…. to live in the mountains. We moved to western NC in the spring of 2017 and have never looked back.
In addition to my wonderful husband, we have our angel, Banx. He is part Golden Retriever and part Labrador. I saw him while on vacation in the Outer Banks and could not leave for back home without him. He has been through it all with me; the shop, the divorce, meeting Logan and starting a new life in the mountains. You will see him in many photos. He is getting older and we cherish every day we are able to spend with him.

Thin Threads
To be honest, it was not all roses after the move. A few unexpected hiccups with my job left me doing some “character building” as my Dad would say. After several jobs in the medical field and trying to find the right fit, an opportunity led me to working at a fabulous gift shop in Waynesville doing a lot of what I did at my shop. I am very blessed to work with such wonderful people that make your job fun and it is good to be laughing again. So naturally, once this part of my life settled down and naturally fit, I knew it was time to start following more of my dreams….. so here I am!

Designs by Gracie Godfrey
I still have the first wreath I made when I was in my early twenties and it is hanging on our front porch. Even that long ago, I can remember the happiness I felt while creating something that was exactly what I envisioned. I’ve always had a passion for being creative. And I have always loved decorating, making wreaths and floral arrangements, and creating a warm, inviting home.
Time literally flies for me when I am creating something I have envisioned. I am truly at my happiest when creating something beautiful that I enjoy making and that brings happiness to others. It’s all about surrounding myself with what makes me happy. From what I call “happy a** lights” to a select few Christmas decorations that stay up year round. Just check out some of our photos and you will see what I am talking about! I feel life is so much better when you can feel “The Happy”. Obviously things in life happen that you can’t control and can leave you sad, but I find it a little easier to accept if you are wrapped in the comfort of happy.
The Happy
So that is what I love to create, the comfort of happy. It’s not just making wreaths and flower arrangements, it’s the whole ambiance and package of what goes into creating the comfort of happy. So, if you will be patient with me while I get this dream up and running, I promise you I will wow you with the results! I am so excited to have you join me on this journey. Together, we can make this world a little “more happy”!
So here’s to the happy – Cheers!
